weddings
As long as I can remember, I have always been fascinated with weddings. When I was 6 years old, I was asked to be a ring bearer for two weddings and I felt massively honored. Everything about weddings seemed so special to me since so many people would be there, everyone is dressed up, there was a sacred ceremony, there were lots of pictures taken, there were speeches, there was a fancy meal, there was lots of dancing and laughter, and the bride and the groom were treated like celebrities. As I have gotten older, I’ve been able to experience nearly all sides of weddings as a guest, as an usher, a groomsman, a best man, a groom, an officiant, and even giving away a bride. These experiences have caused me to love weddings.
There are so many things that I love about photographing weddings: I get do almost every kind of photography on a wedding day, whether landscapes, candids, portraits, or products, and since this is a day that cannot be replicated and so many things can happen, you have to be ready for anything. What I love about photographing weddings the most is that I get a front row seat in witnessing the power of love. When two people take a holy oath to commit to unconditional love for the rest of their lives, it preaches hope to the world. One of the prominent descriptions of heaven in the Bible is that it is like a wedding feast. I think this means that every wedding is a glimpse into heaven in some way.
